Ref problem

this is a new trailer to us , and we don't know to much about these things , so help please. It seems that the food in the ref section is getting to cold (like almost freezing)we moved that little slide thing-e. all the way down and all the way up and nothing changes.. everything in the freezer stays frozen

What setting (number) is your frig control panel set on?

See page 8 of this Dometic manual
http://www.dometic.com/9efb3e8b-c980...35e3c872.fodoc

We typically keep ours on '3', and monitor the refrig temp with a thermometer.
Similar to this: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...rmometer/37122

Manual above is for model RM2620 (6 cu.ft)... other manuals available if needed.

What is the actual temp inside the fridge? What model fridge is it? Moving the thermistor slide location does not change the temp quickly. It takes a while to see a change. Also if something is wrong with the fridge they can go into fail safe mode, which causes it to run continuosly, and it will definetly freeze in your fridge.

On some models (and you didn't say what you have) the sliding thermistor is the only temp control you have. As mentioned it takes some time to change.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Almost freezing" ..... We use ours to store fresh picked apples in the off season at just above freezing (34°F) with the slide almost to the top. Ahhhh! Just thinking of a brown bottle at 34°F makes me quiver.
