Ahhhhh negative nellie! I can see myself in one of those good looking air cars trying to find a road that is straight enough in the Texas Hill Country to take off from. Not sure traffic would appreciate me landing in that same spot. I guess you could take off from an airport but you would need a daily driver to get to the airport and back... Wait a sec! Why would this be a good idea?

I thought EGGZACTLY the same thing... The "air car website" says that the test bed had 70 hours of rigorous flight testing and over 200 successful takeoffs/landings... And, to instill even more confidence, that same part of the world's technology gave us the YUGO.... What could go wrong ?????

You don't need a separate car to get to/from the airport. The air car is convertible (... it's a transformer, like Mega Maid - bom bom bom bom bom bom )

Yeah but I would be so embarrassed to be seen in that thing I would want a Yugo to be my daily driver back and forth to the airport.

Yugo? Sorry but I wouldn't ride, much less drive, a car that if you lose one wheel lug you lose 1/3 of the total lug nuts on that wheel. For cripes sake, my little riding mower has 4 lug nuts/wheel.
