Digging a little further into this issue, it seems there are some teeth missing from the gear pack on the passive side of the slide. Local dealer wants $400 to replace. Do I brave this myself or is it best left to the pros?

I recently just did this exact repair at my local (KZ) dealer for my Avalanche's kitchen slide.
I left a cabinet open and I crunched it and it stripped the gear on the passive side...
My dealer had the $88 part overnighted from Lippert.... And did the repair charging me 1.5 hours for labor (if I recall correctly).
Total bill was $340... And that included $49 for winterizing and about $35 for filling both propane tanks.
That means the repair cost about $250-ish. They had it in and out in a day.
