Hi low LP usage

With the Hi low furnace setting does it still use the same amount of LP on both settings?
I was thinking about this @ 4am as the furnace was blowing on high and I was wondering if I set it on low would the consumption of LP be less or the same?

TO my knowledge the hi/low switch is for the fan only.

?????

To the best of my knowledge, the 12 VDC motor in the furnace is a one speed motor. The "high/low/auto" function on the thermostat controls the speed of the air conditioner fan, not the furnace fan.

K let me rephrase this: If the fan is on high does it use the same amount of LP as it does when the fan is on low or does the furnace allow more LP through when it's on high?

EDIT!! I just tried it and you're right, it's one speed! lol!
Sorry I was really tired @ 4am and maybe I should have tried it then huh? lol!
Stupid anti-cancer pills! lol!

Steve -
I think what they are trying to say is that the furnace fan blows at one speed regardless of what setting you have it on - HI or LO and has nothing to do with amount of propane consumed. The HI/LO setting refers to the A/C fan - not the furnace fan.

But to answer your questions...... Yes for the first one and No for the second one.

Ummmmmmmmmm, Huh? Wha, Whaaaaaaat? Oh, wait, he did get it figured out - whew! That's a relief!

It's not very often that I am ever awake at 0400hrs - especially stressing about furnace issues. Good luck and best wishes with the cancer pills thing. BTDT.

Steve

Another little odd thing mine does (to me anyway) is running the AC blower if I put it in Hi or Lo. On auto the furnace just does its thing but either of the other positions and the AC fan runs with the furnace. Good luck with the medication.

Now that's different, I've read about the furnace and AC running but I've never had it happen to me.

Thanks for the well wishes guys!

depends on which thermostat you have. The square digital Dometic one works like that. The Coleman Mach series doesn't.
