My first bumper pull (not counting pop ups) was in 1985 and used them until 2020 (this trailer).

Note that the trailer has a gvw of approx. 9800 lbs. You need to add the dry weight with the carrying capacity as noted in my previous email. That 9800 would equate to an approx. tongue weight of 1274 loaded out. That would leave you approx. 1000lbs. for family and truck stuff. Pretty tight. And don't forget trying to keep a safety cushion of a minimum of 10% which will strap you pretty good with a little one weight wise. Gotta look at the gvw's; those bottom, dry weights are useless.
