Disconnected tank

When does it stop! Found we had a water leak while using the black tank flush today. Got it home and found the frame cross member that hold the black tank up was not in place. Not sure if it was spot welded but I could see the yellow paint pen to show where it was supposed to be. The black tank was only held up by the toilet flange. The leak was the wash machine pipe was completely out of the tank. Got it all put back where it went and put self tapping screws in the cross member holes. Then my son says to me “hey dad, that tank looks the same way”. The bathroom gray was the same story. We got that tank hung back where it belongs also. This is the first time I have had the chloroplast off a camper holt crap there is enough wire, hose, and hydraulic lines under there for two rigs. Can’t wait for a trip that doesn’t involve repairs.

I only had a crack in the grey tank, but that was enough for me to install supports under the tanks. The tank manufacturers do not want the tanks hung by the flanges, but want them supported from underneath. This is what I did to our tanks.

So you don’t have chloroplast from front to back? Or did you put that on after all those supports? Once I get done with this I will think about adding cross bars in the center of the tanks. I also have a tank that runs the other direction so with the camper not across.

I pulled down the coroplast, installed the blocking, which is different thicknesses due to the slope of the bottom of the tanks, and installed the additional braces across the frame which held the blocking in place until the silicone adhesive setup. Then, removed the braces, reinstalled the coroplast, and then reinstalled the braces.
