Had a feeling and expressed it ...

Howdy All;

I had a feeling when the log-in info. was switched to be our email addresses.
I expressed the concern that it would be used to place us on 'other mailing lists'

Guess what showed up in my IN box this afternoon, should have saved the link but was infuriated and just threw it into the Spam folder and deleted it. Sorry.

The unwanted email came from Social Knowledge (?), and was a newsletter for
RV Campgrounds. Didn't ask for it, don't subscribe to them ... except when we all
got bundled into a corporate steamer trunk for the ease of the management folks
instead of just leaving what wasn't broken alone.
How many more will I receive and have to chunk into the SPAM bin???

hank

When I get those I unsubscribe before I delete them. Gets me off the list and is also cathartic.

Ah, Hank, those sorry b------s have to make a living, too... Back in the day when live bodies actually made the robo-calls (right at dinner time, of course) I tried my best to not be rude to them. Most were women probably trying to make a living for themselves and six kids. They weren't the ones putting my number on the call list.
Now if I could find the owner of a robo-call company, my fillet knife is coming out of the sheath.

I have not received a great amount of spam from "other mailing list". I don't remember using my email plus a password to log in. Just click and I'm in?
I do remember a few years back getting constant calls for home refinancing. Like 3 months worth of calls almost every other day. I tried their automated no call list, I answered and requested to be placed on the no call list. Nothing worked,so I gave in. Got a call one evening (yes,at dinner) and answered, I told the sales rep that I was interested in their product and would like to schedule an appointment to have a sales visit my home.
Great, she said. I gave her the pertinent info and set a date. I told this person that whoever they sent to my home, I was going to kick the living crap out of them and really hurt them out of frustration with them bothering me so much. I told them to PLEASE send a sales rep.
After telling me I did not have to get violent, I said "then what do I have to do to get off your call list". We went through the process, they never called again.

Social Knowledge are the people who run this forum. They already had your email address.
