lower Delaware to Oshkosh Wis. (airventure)

Planning to attend Airventure in Oshkosh,Wis this coming July, Pulling our Montanna 3150RL. Did this same trip in 2012 with our 27' P/B & got beat up pretty bad by the terrible roads. Any suggestions on the best possible route & roads to travel? Planning to take our time & make it a 3 day trip out. Any suggestions on nice campgrounds on our way would be greatly appreciated.

Make it however you can to Baltimore, get on I-70 all the way through Indianapolis, to I-65 and then north to Chicago. Try to slide by Chicago any way you can.....avoid Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana turnpikes at all costs.

planning a similar route from Fort Wayne, IN. trying to decide either drive two hours longer out and around Chicago or aim to hit Chicago about 2am. This also depends on when I have to be at Oshkosh. Luckily another fella is pulling his camper so we are driving together. Should be fun

Going around Chicago on I-294 is the easier / most direct. However this is a toll road to get ready to pay some tolls. If you have EZ-Pass, you're all good.

Plan on hitting I-294 either before 6:30am or wait until after 10am but before 2:30pm and you will miss most of the traffic.

I-894 around Milwaukee is the best and if you time it with I-294, you should not have too many traffic issues. I-41 up to Oshkosh from i_894.
