Water pump location HC 318RE?

Does anyone know where the water pump on a 2014 Montana 381RE is located?
When it's running it sounds like it's right under the steps to the bedroom but surely there must be some way to access it? Much appreciated.

We have different trailer but when I needed to Winterize I needed to work with the pump, called our local dealer and was told to listen to the sound! I think you have found yours, mine I had to feel in the carpeting covering the box that housed the pump to find two screws and remove them and lift up the covering board or in your case step. The screws are flush mount so they are hard to find if the step is carpeted. Good hunting!

mine is under the main bathroom in the cargo hold behind the controls for the city water.it is a pain to get to I have to remove a panel beside the control center( where the city water and winterize water inlets are. just listen it should be close to the water inlets especially if you have a winterize water inlet and selector valve. also they mis labeled mine and it burnt the pump up. the selector for winterize was really the position for water flow. I hope this helps

Inside the pass-thru storage there is an aluminum panel on the side facing the rear. Unscrew about 6 screws and you can access the water pump from there.

We have a 318RE also, and love it! Jeff_S just started a new forum specifically for the HC381RE. I HIGHLY recommend adding the option of the Ground Control Auto Leveling System if ordering a new unit. The absolute best money I have ever spent on a RV, PERIOD! No more hauling stacks of wood, concrete blocks, or drive-on leveling blocks. You lose the remote control of the front landing gear and lose the rear stabilizer jacks completely, but it is worth it for the auto leveling. Get the JT Strongarm stabilizers if they are an option too. Their mounting brackets are already welded on the mid-year coaches. Order the second AC unit also. Even though the main AC is a 15.0 ducted unit, the 318RE has a lot of interior space, and it really needs the extra AC unit in the BR to help keep the place cool. Almost all units made since the beginning of June have leather sleeper sofas and swivel recliners/rockers plus LED lights, and after mid-June, have the leveling system as an option. Big double fridge, full-size tub/shower, table and chairs for dining, leather seating, so much storage you will be looking for things to put in the cabinets, and a 40" main TV. Can you tell we like ours?

threehendersons - more like a dozen of LONG screws on the panel...use a drill. I had to remove my panel to stop a leak. Word of advice: tighten all the pex connections on the back side of the outside water hose connections, and never turn the water hose to help loosen the hose-to-coach connection-always turn the collar only. I had the pleasure to remove the dozen screws by hand(left the drill at home) to get at the pex connector on the back of the fresh water inlet that was spraying water for an hour before I found it. The cargo area will hold about an inch or so of water extremely well, if you want to add a water feature to your 5er.

Where is the Forum for the 318RE?

We just traded our Cougar XLite for the 318RE and love it. Unfortunately the next trip is next June. Where is the Forum mentioned as created by Jeff?

I called it a forum, but its really a group he created. I'm a newbie to forums, so I haven't got the lingo down yet. A 55 yr old man with a BS in Computer Science and doesn't know how to work a forum. Anyway, go to COMMUNITY at the top of the page, then go to SOCIAL GROUPS, then to the group called MONTANA HIGH COUNTRY.

Water pump location ?

Mine is right behind the second step to the bedroom. The upright panel,
(one screw on each end, hidden in the carpet covering.)
My big feet hit that panel enevry time.

It is behind the small panel (8"x8" aprx)at the bottom of the front of the drivers-side built in table, right next to the drivers side armchair at the back of the fiver. There are 4 small screws holding the panel in place. its hard to get into there is not much room.
