Bathroom vertical trim board. First off covers wall seam that the "trim tape" would not stay sealed to unattached panels and provided a place to attach a towel rack and paper holder.

Kitchen, moved the recirculating range hood back to outside wall (left 1/2" air space behind). Now I don't bump my head while making the DW morning coffee. Also added a fan speed control so it be slowed down to not sound like a 747.

I like the idea of the board in the bathroom with the towel rack. What did you secure the board to? Maybe there is a stud at that seam?

I have the same range hood. Moving it back certainly creates more headroom. Curious why you didn't just remove it altogether.

The bath board is attached to the aluminum top plate and goes down to plumbing chase. That was the only place I bet on to have some support. None at panel seam. Then each accessory I used 1 1/4 " screws to pull the paneling and board together plus some double sided adhesive strips behind attachment points.

Range hiod does protect the cabinets from some heat and provides reasonable lighting.
