Our First Camping Adventure

Being new to campers/camping and trucks, we had a blast on our first outing. We went to French Creek State Park in Elverson, PA for four days and three nights. We even had company for dinner on our last night. We lost the lid for our propane tank cover. It was on correctly (opening to the back), but we think we didn't secure it properly. That was the worst of it, so I'll take it. Hubby got a little white knuckled going through the cattle shoots on one of the highways, but he did me proud. Oh yea, the Garmin RV is worth it's weight in gold and I'll expound on that in another section. All in all, we found something enjoyable for the both of us. Oh yea, I almost forgot, it only took eight minutes and three tries to get it in perfectly positioned at the site. Again, my hubby ROCKS!!!

Welcome !

We are from Green Lane and another great place just out Rt 23 is Warwick Woods. If you want to go east, to the other end of Lake Nockamixon you can go to Colonial Woods. Both are nice places to go this time of year.

We just got our Passport 217exp and have one trip down with it as well.

Glad you had a great time. Camping & RVing is great, isn't it?

Glad your first outing was a success!

We were camped on a dry creek bed, in the Big Bend area of TX for our first outing and I told the DW "let's sell everything and never leave this spot"

We loved it and are planning another trip in Oct.

The lay out is perfect for hubby and me plus there is a lot of storage space (or I haven't figured out exactly what I need!). The only thing is that I can't figure out where to put the toilet paper!!!

Warwick Woods is one of our favorites. A little further west is White Oak CG. ..nice too!

BTW....from your area try taking RT 73 to RT 100....then RT 100 to RT 23. Turn right on 23. No cattle chutes.

Thanks for the route info. The cattle shoots can be hair raising. Also, I think I figured out the tp issue. I bought a basket that will hold 2-3 rolls and I am planning on trying it out.

As for pictures, I'm not big on them, but plan to start again. I have missed too much because "I had to get the picture" and found I wasn't really seeing what I wanted to see. I'm trying to find things again now that I am retired and can take the time to truly enjoy.
