New setup/combo is good
Got the hitch out this morning, lowered it as low as it would go and dropped the premier 31 bhpr onto the new 350. Hooked up the equalizer and all seemed good. Took it up the street and stopped at the rest stop, nice and flat, got out to take a look. Truck was level, trailer was level, hitch bars were parallel with the frame. All looked great. Towed great, stiffer than the 150. I am a happy camper...

That sounds good, hoping for the same results, I just went from a 150 to a 350 also, won't be hooking up for some time yet, still got 3 feet of snow on the ground.

Did you measure to see if the front fender height was the same both hitched and unhitched. That's a way to tell if the WD is adjusted properly. The purpose of the WD is not to level the truck.

The wd should put weight back on the front tires, I could measure and will at some point but I figured if the truck was perfectly level before being hitched and perfectly level after then we are good. In addition, the directions say that the bars must run parallel to the frame which they do so even if the front was up a bit there would not be much to do to the bars.

Not necessarily correct. The front end is going to rise somewhat when you hitch up and you would probably get a little rear squat, even with a F350. The Ford manual says to return the front height to half of the difference between the hitched and unhitched height. If that's where you are then it's correct. The truck may or may not end up being level, but that's not an indicator that it's correct.

Well Bob, was hooking up the trailer tonight to take to the shop in the morning. I took the measurements. The front started at 41.5, hitched the trailer and it went to 42.5 and in the end, ready to tow it was 42 inches so I believe I am spot on.
