Can you believe a lot of the campgrounds for the middle of July are already booked solid ?

I wish some the campers in Ontario would stay home

One of the loops up there take reservations, but they book early. Last year, my wife went up early Thursday morning, got us a spot and put some of our gear out until I could get up there and set up our tent that evening. Also, not on the Lake, but the Satsop Center camp ground is about 3 or 4 miles away, they have a couple rv spots, but the also book early. Hope this helps and Happy Camping!

Headed to Nashville for traditonal long weekend in May. Family comes from PA, NC, and TN. Long weekend over Labor Day planned at Myrtle Beach. Two weeks planned in Keys over Christmas and New Year. One of the weeks will have family from NC TN and PA....at least 12 of us for Christmas...really psyched about that esp given the 12+ in of snow we are getting today. Still looking for place for July 4 week. We did western Smokies 2 yrs ago and Eastern Smokies last year. Guess we could do Northern Smokies... .

^Wow! Jealous.

Only two trips planned so far. 5 nights at Shaver Lake and Memorial Day weekend at Cachuma Lake. I use the term lake loosely as these lakes may be mud holes if we don't get some rain this winter...

We are hoping to be able to take 2 months to complete the trip, but we won't know for sure until mid March.

I wish it were post retirement! I still have a few years before then.

I wanted to add more but google wouldn't let me add anymore. There is supposed to be 2 additional spots. One to Blairsville, GA and another to San Diego, CA. The cities are basically just place holders until we can narrow down the exact spot(s) we want to see in that area. Any suggestions??

@dieselmatt I am guessing Palmdale is for a military stop or a place holder?
I was up there in January, high desert, that's where I picked up my TV.

A friend of mine lives there working for the AF as a civilian. Oddly, doing the same job as when he was active duty but getting more money for it.

Last summer was Whidby Isl, WA, Oregon coast, West Glacier, Jackson Hole, and Cody, WY in our Cougar and 2500. This summer we go back to NH at the end of May, then in Sept we go to VT, NH, ME and Cape Cod for 6 weeks. Then back to TN and the Good Sam Samboree in Sevierville at the end of Oct. This trip will be the first in the Montana with the 3500.

Most of our camping is done at Nascar Races but with a new rig we are expanding out some this year.

April - Richmond, Va Nascar Race
May - Dover, De Nascar Race
June - Yogi Bear Campground in Hagerstown, Md
July - Yogi Bear in Rehobeth, De
Aug - Virginia International Raceway, Altoon, Va TUDOR race
Sept - Richmond, Va
Sept - Dover, De
Oct - Anniversary getaway someplace

Everything is usually 3 or 4 day weekend getaways for us but it is family time and we enjoy the time together. Going to try and get our use out of our new investment.

You'll love that BH. I know I really like ours. We are going to Lake Siskiyou in July for a week with an overnight on either end at 7 Feathers casino. We have three trips to different campgrounds around Mt Rainier in June and July. Lodgepole, The Dalles, and Silver Springs. We also have friends that are tying the knot at Kanaskat-Palmer in July. Ike Kinswa on Labor day weekend, and I'm still looking for some weekenders in August I'm thinking maybe talk the DW into a trip over to Idaho to check out Craters of the Moon, or a trip somewhere in the scablands.

Well we finally made some plans and are working on reservations for May, June, July and August. Will work on the fall later. All trips are in New England, still waiting to hear back from 3 places. Turned out tough this year as no one is in the office's with the weather.

Changing it up this year, going seasonal. Have a new baby and an aging dog, so we will settle in to a site on May 15th and stay there until October.
