Ceiling Fan

Hello. I recently purchased a 2010 Challenger 34SAQ fifthwheel. I have discovered that you have to be very carefull when running the living room slides in or it will hit the ceiling fan blades. The dealer said all Challengers were that way. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks for any help.

Re: Ceiling Fan

Welcome Heysarge, and congratulations on your new Challenger.

I don't know that I have a solution, but possibly some food for thought --

Our previous 5th wheel was a Challenger (smaller unit than yours, built in '07), and we never had any problems with the ceiling fan hitting the slide out. We had a rear kitchen floor plan, so the fan 'location' may be difference.

Since your unit is new & under warranty, would it be possible for the dealer to modify the fan... maybe shorten the down rod for a lower-profile ('ceiling-hugger') fan??
