We did the same thing. Our Outback had an awful mattress. We only used it for 1 season. We purchased the same type mattress we have at home in a queen version and had it shortened ($100) to an rv queen. Well worth the investment!

An RV queen is 60"x74" (or 60"x75"). A residential queen is 60"x80".

if you have a tape measure, go out and measure it and take the measurements to a mattress store. have them order you a good mattress that size

Queen mattresses are 6 inches wider than a standard queen and measure 66x80. Our queen mattress provides an extra layer of comfort while also protecting your mattress.

I'm not sure what you're trying to convey here, as you indicate that queen mattress are wider than "standard queen" mattresses.... they're the same thing.... A queen mattress IS a "Standard Queen"...

Maybe you're talking about a mattress topper????

Here's a list of standard mattress sizes:

Twin Mattress 39" wide x 75" long

Twin XL Mattress 39" wide x 80" long

Full Mattress 54" wide x 75" long

Full XL Mattress 54" wide x 80" long

Queen Mattress 60" wide x 80" long

Queen RV Mattress 60"wide x 74" long

Cal-King Mattress 72" wide x 84" long

King Mattress 76" wide x 80" long

King Split Mattress 76" wide x 80" long (Two Twin XL Mattresses)

valentinetti0 has been banned from the forum. She has business interests in a mattress company and FYI owns, according to her profile, a Suzuki motorhome. I think it is the 250cc model with 2 slide outs and an outside kitchen. The company's webpage was her "Signature".

We have a standard Queen in our Copper Canyon, not sure it came that way from the factory as the base is about 6" shorter than the mattress. It is a slide out and the mattress is tight against the dresser on the other side when closed.
It sure is nice to have the extra 6" as I am a full 6' tall.

Our 2012 Passport 199ML purchased last year came with a very light (and also cheap) thin foam "short queen" mattress. Since I'm not short (6'4"), from the ankles down hung off the end of the bed. Slept mostly on my side, legs bent anyway. Put a dense foam topper on it and it was "OK". The Passport line is super light for the features you get. Something has to give to get features and light weight......i.e., short queen in place of regular queen, foam rather than a mattress.

Upgraded to a 2012 COugar 29 REV and expected a short queen mattress. Was elated when delivered the unit had a regular queen bed. Very comfortable!! Would put the manufacturer in this post but given the DW is asleep next to me and I'm laying on it....it will have to wait. So nice to feel a mattress under my feet for a change!!!

Odd width Queen

The only "wider" queen I have read about is a sleep number queen, seems like they called it a super queen or something really odd, I guess to give each person individual control. They also create a automatic customer for their sheets since they are the only ones making this size.
