Wall-screws & Dinette Cushions questions

We are owners of new Summerland TT (4/11/12), after many years of tent and pop-up camping. This Keystone Forum has given us many, many great suggestions and good advice - Thank you.

But we cannot find answers to 2 questions:

1) We want to put up coat hooks just inside the exit door and towel racks in bathroom/kitchen etc. What wall screws and/or attachments would you recommend?

2) Our dinette cushions slip out a bit from the bench after almost every use, for both adults and kids. What would you recommend for a way to attach/mount the seat cushions to the bench? (but still allow removal to access the storage compartments)

Thanks - Nanook, from N. Illinois

Ditto! The 3m Command system is fantastic for RV's. You can put what you want where you want it; coats, pictures, whatever.

We use the larger clothing hooks in the bedroom for our terry bathrobes. The ones that use Dual-Lock are wonderful for hanging pictures, signs, etc. Your ingenuity and imagination are the only limits.

If you install them correctly, they'll come off the walls ten years later with no evidence that they were ever there.

As for the dinette cushions, try putting the non-skid rubber shelf liner under them. That is what we did when we had a booth dinette. Hope this helps, Hank

Yep-ours is also a 2600TB.
Thanks for suggestions.
We'll go shopping for 3M Command and sticky shelf liner (?) and give them a try

Check out RV Tips on YouTube....good short videos....good ideas. They show installation of flip down hangers for coats just inside the door.....pull down to hang a coat, they automatically flip up when not in use.

Haven't tried it but the non slip shelf liner makes a lot of sense.

My wife hangs every thing, pics plaques, dodads with heavy duty velcro. I put double sided tape on hooks and use the screws that come with them. For the dinnet ours has hinges so I don't have that problem, but our couch cusions are held in place with velcro and they don't slide at all but still come off easily to put the air mattres on for the bed.

Thanks Chris199--but we have "dial-up" and can't view you-tube. I know -- this is such old technology, but this is the way we can afford a new trailer and more vacations.

shelf liner

Nanook, I don't think hankpage meant sticky shelf liner. I think he was talking about the rubber kind that is kind of bumpy, but definitely NOT sticky. It's readily available.
