Please Drive Carefully and Considerately

I had a scary situation this weekend while I was towing my TT through a small town in VA. The road is 4 lanes but more narrow than normal. There are telephone poles right at the edge of the square curbs at the road's side. I was at a light and had just started to move forward when a F350/450 DRW pulling a Raptor came cruising up on my left. I moved right a little and he missed my mirror with his by an inch. Had I not moved over he would have hit it with his. The guy behind him saw this happen and waited the 2 minutes until the road widened to pass. Please don't let being inpatient cause an accident.

Good advice and thankful he missed you. I've seen lots of folks pulling very big trailers driving like mad men - don't know why but for sure we all have to be very diligent when driving/pulling our trailers.

Nope nope nope - I owe too much on this trailer just to be all stupid with it. Single line thru town works fine for me. Besides, if i'm behind someone bigger than me, i'm happy - if he fits, i'll fit. :-)

Wouldn't happen to be tappahanock would it on the way to bethpage? I hate that little town. I ride in the left lane all the way.

Glad you are safe!

Sunday July 9th 10:45am on I-205 southbound... four TT's obviously traveling together were in the left-hand lane of a two lane stretch, totally oblivious to the Oregon State Police trying to get around to get to an emergency. He had his roof light bar on and half his car in the left emergency lane for at least 90 seconds before they one by one moved over to the "right" lane! Besides being in the wrong lane, how about checking your mirrors on a consistent/often basis!

Yes it was. I was on my way back north from New Point RV resort. FYI I won't be visiting New Point again. Nice pool, nice people, but the sites are tight and the resort is mostly seasonal folks.

Had a situation in Indianapolis where I was trying to switch lanes in traffic. Another truck made way for me to get into the lane. Just when I started to merge into the lane a women cut right in front of me. I almost hit here luckily we were only moving 5 miles per hour. So when I hit the horn she just gave me the finger. It tough to drive in many cities with a trailer. Glad to hear that there was no accident TBOS.
