Everything went well at the dealership. I am the proud owner of a 2500 Laramie 4x4. I am still amazed with all the tech and luxury on a HD truck.

Nice truck. The dealer I bought mine from last week said they're selling tons of these HD gassers now. One piece of tech that Chrysler decided to move away from was the music apps on the Uconnect system, something I like using. Apps like Pandora are not longer supported through the Uconnect access interface. Apparently, FCA doesn't like the marketing ads built within these 3rd party apps so owners can only stream music from their phones, not use control interfaces within the Uconnect software. Give me android based architecture any day of the week.

Other than than, these trucks are amazing. Congrats on your purchase.

My observation, the truck doesn't squat a centimeter with 800 lbs of hitch weight and my traditional Blue Ox WDH applied. It also doesn't ride much different, loaded or unloaded. Tomorrow, I'm going to mount the Hensley "orange" onto the trailer and take it out for a test run with the truck.

I bought this tailgate '"tow away" ladder from Amazon last week. Will install it today along with a tailgate assist shock. The DW is height deprived and would have not change in 'H-E-double hockey sticks" on getting up into the bed.

Pretty sure the manual says don't tow for the first 500 miles. Fyi

Nice job... love the color. Same truck as my 2014 except I'm in an Outdoorsman which is a step below the Laramie. It's a great truck for your usage. I'm pretty much maxing mine out with an 11K 5th wheel and it does okay. If I was out towing much more often I'd probably trade for a diesel but it's not like I'm dying as is. Realistically, it's a daily driver 95%+ of the time.

The only thing I'd add to the thread as a whole is people comparing the Cummins is not a 9K option. Keep in mind that's MSRP and a good deal is around 80% MSRP so most people are paying less than 9K. I know, it's now a huge amount less.... but it's less.

I knew this truck sat high but geez. Had to upgrade from a 7 hole hitch receiver to a 9 hole. Anyone else have a huge drop with their 2500 4x4? All the way down I am at 23.5 inches for the top of the ball which is .5 inches higher than the coupler height of 23 inches of my Cougar TT.

I would love to have that problem.... means I'd own a Ram 2500 4x4.

One thing the diesel adds is the exhaust brake. That alone is priceless. I still believe you made a great choice!
