Main Cabin Speakers

I have 8 speakers in my Carbon 357 ... 4 in the main cabin, 2 outside, and 2 in the garage. The head unit is BOYO AVS300. I've read and understand the User's Manual the best I can.

The control panel has an on/off switch for the garage and outside speakers. But, there doesn't appear to be a way to shut off the main cabin speakers.

Does anyone have any experience with this setup and do you know of a way to turn off the main cabin speakers?

Many thanks,

Never heard of that. My last 3 campers, all Keystone, had an A, B, C switch for each speaker zone?

I had the opposite problem on my Raptor, I could not find the switch to turn off the outside speakers. Eventually started taking things apart and tracing wires. Turns out the switches I was looking for were mounted to the ceiling of the storage area where the amp was. Might help to find the amp and see what you can trace back from there.

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure the carbon 357 has an amp other than the head unit. Time to do some exploring.

Haven't done any searches yet, but have there been any threads on stereo upgrades?

I just purchased the same unit and although I have not picked it up yet, I spent a bunch of time playing with it at the lot. There does not appear to be a way to turn off the main cabin speakers without adding an additional toggle switch.

I have the Carbon 327 and was very unsatisfied with the stereo head. There was no way to turn off the main speakers and no additional amp. So I took it all out and put in some good stuff.

With the new head I now have hdmi to the TV and MUCH better sound in the 5er. I added 6 new high power speakers, an 8 inch subwoofer and a 1000 watt amp.

Nice job CarbonFun!

Stock system is junk and the speaker splicing to get all 8 speakers to work doesn't seem like the right way to do it.

You've given me some ideas. Thanks.

Not a new unit but my 04 was wired by a 3 yr old. When I replaced it with a new one I found none of the color codes matched and I had to trace every wire to every speaker to hook it up. But it did have a switch that had separate for living room which included the garage, living room & bedroom Or exterior only. What a mess it was. Lack of pride in workmanship is taking over the entire industry. How quickly can we get it out the door.

With that method you only get 1 channel. Mine was like that until I traced every wire and installed it correctly while installing the new stereo.
