New member.

Hello. My wife and I have been rv'ing going into our 5th year now and have just moved up to a 2021 Outback 330rl from a 2016 Cougar. Pretty much got the basics down but there's a few upgrades we've never had before that I'll be inquiring about. Looking forward to becoming a more seasoned nomad and hope I can contribute with the knowledge I already have.

Topomon, Welcome; suggest you click on the UserCP and find the Signature button and put year, make and model of your camper and the same for your tow vehicle. Will allow other forum members to have a bit of context when answering the questions to come! Enjoy your new camper.

Welcome to the forums. I see you are located in Indianapolis. Hello fellow Hoosier!

I live (literally) in the middle between Anderson, Pendleton, and Lapel, put a "dot" in the middle of that triangle and you won't be too far from where I live... .. and surrounded by corn and bean fields!

Enjoy that new camper!

Indiana does indeed ... have some of the best State Parks in the country! We love them all.

Welcome to the forum. If you are towing that nice new camper with a 1/2 ton truck I'd urge you to run it over the scales and see where you are with the payload. A 10,500 lb. GVW fiver would have a pin weight of around 2,400 lbs. (then add the weight of the hitch itself.)

Enjoy your new camper and stay safe.

I'd recommend visiting a Cat scale when you go camping. It's really easy and with their app you don't even need to go inside. Catscale.com

That is why I suggested a signature be made with year, make and model of camper and the same for the truck.

Responding to a greeting from Northern Mn. Not sure why it stayed in this thread. Yeah I'll run it through some scales next week when we get on the road. Thx.
