RV's have enough problems without adding new one's on purpose. It might work, but for your best safety and stability of the trailer, get the correct rim to start with and don't try to fudge it. RVs are not like automobiles. They are a beast unto themselves. Altercations, even though slight, can cause problems you might not want to deal with. I advise, get the rim that's made your camper. If need be, go to an RV dealership that sells your brand and do it the right way.
However, welcome to the forums and sorry for a somewhat unwelcome first response, I know ... something you did not want to hear.
