We made it! Wasting away again...

First trip- success! The lovely roadways in Knoxville stole a hubcap from my pretty new truck, but otherwise, all's good. Staying at Camp Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge, and checking out the new sites with some cousins in the slip next to us.

Dutifully hit the scales after fueling up, and they were nice to me. Didn't take the time to unhitch and weigh the truck separate, but both axles were within spec, F+R was within GVWR, and the total was within GCWR.

Just keep an eye out around potholes &/or bridge transitions you'll find Ford center caps at about all of them.
There was a fellow on another forum a few years ago that had lost one also & in 1 day of travel picked up 9 of them about 50-50 front & rear also 50-50 on reusable. We traveled in the car today for 450 miles & I recall seeing 4 that I remember.

Took no longer than having the boy go take a shower, and we found our first major problem. Seems water is getting out of the bottom door track and flooding the floor. The sealant/caulking on the bottom looks a bit wimpy, though the sides seem fine. It's a glass three-piece door, if that makes any difference. Mama says to get some Flex Tape and that'll do it, and since I'm notoriously bad at caulking, I might agree, but that stuff can't be good for the materials it's sticking to. Is there a particular product or technique to do this right?

Is the door track installed backwards? The holes go into the shower.

Dunno if there's enough detail in this pic- top is a look at the track and the continuing leaks after the cleanup. Bottom two are the corners of the lower track, where it seems like there's zero sealant but should be completely filled?

Get ready for some sticker shock on the center cap! The ones on our Ram go for about $150 at a dealer.
I found a Ram dealer with an online discount site and got for $96.

I lost one of the cheesy plastic hubcaps off the front. I removed the other three. I think the polished alloy wheels look better without the "chrome" plastic hub caps.

Yes, those ends should be sealed. And of course the weep holes should face the inside of the shower.

The holes are facing the right way. It looks like the water is getting under the strip from the corners and squeezing out.

Is there a sealant to definitely use or avoid? We're running out of sacrificial towels!

Are you dure it's commjng from under the track. From thebpicture it looks to me like it may be from ghe the glass door seals where the glass panels meet. If he's "leaning" on the doors they can flex sndl not seal.

Anywhere around sinks or showers, I always use silicone.

Should have asked this first. Does it leak when you or others use the shower?

Leaks like a damn faucet was left on, anytime anybody showers. Looks like it's coming out from under the track. I actually tested that by pushing sharply down on the track, and it squirted out both into and out of the shower basin like a ketchup packet that got driven over. So basically, all the sealing is crap, and needs to be redone.

Yup I think you are right. We have massive amounts of silicone in the ends of ours and I think sealant on the outside edge.
