Toilet in, and went to get some fuel and Propane. Have to get used to the rattles, squeaks, and stopping distance

Our BIGGEST complaint when we had motorhomes was the stovetop grates rattling and the dishes in the cupboards rattling. Between the squeaks and rattles, we could hardly hear each other in the front... All these "commercials" with people sipping iced tea at 70MPH in a "quiet diesel pusher"... We just glance at each other and think, "Yeah, right"

We've got a friend with a "more than a million bucks" luxury DP. At 75MPH on I-75, you can't hear that "big Cummins" in the back, but forget hearing the radio for all the wind noise with that "HUMONGUS" windshield and the generator "rattling under your feet"....

Yeah at 20 years old she’s a shaker. I imagine riding in the 5th wheel would produce similar noises followed by me hurling as I couldn’t see where we were going!

Went about 3 hours yesterday. Made it to Topock AZ and was blown off the road. 40 mph winds were to much, felt like I was losing control. Passed the night at the Pilot.

Today was better. Made it to Colinga, CA.
She wanders a bit. Needs input to steer. Will spring for an alignment and see about a steering assist stabilizer

I have installed steering stabilizers on several class A’s. It’s rather easy, except for the fine tuning. Don’t wear good clothes

Our MH had airbags to supplement the suspension. Seems they dried out and needed to be replaced about every 5 years or so. The coach would "settle down" as the air leaked out of the bags unless I had the leveling legs down to support the weight. When we got into heavy sidewinds, unless I aired up the bags, we always seemed to "lean too much for comfort"...

I don't know what type of suspension you have, but if it's got supplemental air bags, give them a good look.

Yeah, she’s pretty dirty underneath. Need to figure out how to get the grime off!

Funny as it’s a Roadmaster RR8 chassis, it rides on 4 bags per axle, And a shock at each bag.

So 8 bags and 8 shocks. The front shocks have been replaced, need to do the rears for sure.

Justin, who's the 'travel companion' in the seat beside you? Do they share the driving to help you along the way?

Nice work!! I'm a MH person at heart. We loved our 2004 Monaco MH when we had it. A few squeaks and rattles while on the road, but nothing too bad. Had this one for 14 years.

That’s Rizzo. He’s 13 and been a Momma’s boy up until the new pup showed up. Mom is following in the pickup, he loves the MH. Been with me the whole time. He’s an odd little dog for sure.

He’s been asleep most of the time. He’s a nut for sure.

Thanks, we’ve always wanted to try a MH. When we moved into the Alpine it became to much to much to break it down to go somewhere.

I’ve got a lot to learn for sure. I drove dump trucks and other class 8 in the past, so it’s familiar, but this girl (Pearl my wife has named her) is a whole nw ride, which I need to improve

Yep, 454. First time out in a MH we knew that was the way we wanted to go after many years of tent camping.

We spent all our summers at the lakes with the kids and did all sorts of watersports including wake boarding and wake surfing. Our two boys would tube for hours at a time.

We have been going to Shasta for over 20 years with 6-8 other local families.

Also spent a lot of time at Detroit Lake and Lake Billychinook over the years.

Awesome! No kiddos here, just pups.

We are setting her up for just us 2. Trying to come up with a built in Kennel for 2 of the dogs. We took out a wall which had towel closet in it. Love the openness now, but need a bit more storage.
