Rod & Reel storage

I have 2 rod combos to travel with.
A 7’ rod w/spinning reel, and a 6.5’ rod w/bait caster.
I have a Ram 2500 with kayak rack. The TT is a Outback 301UBH.
I would like to transport them in tube that is attached to the RV. Under it maybe.
Any suggestions.

Get a piece of 3” pvc with caps for it or just buy another sewer hose holder.
Might have to wrap them in something so they don’t bounce around so much and damage the eyes. If the rods break down I would get two nice travel cases with reel storage.. I purchased one for my son when he went to the South Pacific in 2019

Heres what I used https://pimimages.buyersproducts.com...G/CC400_45.jpg It fits 6" pvc pipe what ever length you need and its lockable. I made 2, one for sewer hoses mounted under the trailer by the dump valve and one for fishing rods mounted under the trailer at the front with the door on the passenger side. They work great and you can get your hands in there if you need to reach something. I carry 3 different fishing rods and reels in mine.

I've got a "throwdown" 2 piece spinning rig that I store in the front by the battery.
Fly rods and reels store in their tubes under the bed or in the front closet.
If I was to get another spin rig or bait casting, I would get a 2 or 3 piece and store it under the bed. Otherwise I would get another sewer hose tube mounted under the frame.
Javi...how does your rack attach? Screws?

We carry ours same as Javi. They are up high so they seldom get in the way and they ride very securely in the rod holders. The surf rods would be too long to fit if they didn’t break down. The ultra lites fit perfectly.

In a previous camper, I suspended my fishing poles from the ceiling of the camper. I loved it, but when we got the next camper, my wife said "absolutely no" to doing it again.

That’s what most people do with fishing boats in the cabin

I have a rod tube I bought many years ago from Bass Pro I think. About 6" diameter and maybe 5' long. I can't carry my long 1 piece rods in it but that's OK. I tried to find one to link to but looks like those kind aren't out there any longer. Probably because you can make one out of pvc pipe much cheaper. I carry mine in the bed of the truck or in the pass through and use hand towels inside to keep the rods from banging around. I don't travel with the reels on the rods and I put those in reel bags then in a plastic box.

I carry my fly rods in their cases and in the fifth wheel.. mounting underneath the fifth wheel exposes the rod and reel to hiway heat and such..
