New check in

Hello everyone. My wife and I have a 2021 Alpine 3700FL and a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 with 6.6LDuramax as our tow vehicle in the past we have had a 5th wheel, travel trailer and a diesel motor home. While I like the design, features and layout of this Alpine. It is comfortable, however I do feel I have experienced more quality control issues on this new trailer than I had on all the others combined. With that said, we are among the working retired. Currently in Virginia, but Texas is Home. Happy travels.

Greetings and welcome to you and your DW!

We like our Alpine as well, and it had a few issues that were not bad.

Travel safe and have fun!

Enjoy your new rig!

The faster RVs go out the door, the more quality problems they have. And COVID over-stimulated the RV market. Compared with my 1998 TT (not a Keystone), even my pre-virus 2019 was like buying a fixer-upper straight off the lot.

Welcome from a fellow Texan. For safety sake, take a look at your yellow/white door placard that gives you your truck's payload. That 42' 5th wheel is 16500 lbs gross weight and at 23 percent giving the approximate pin weight of 3795 lbs you are likely in a seriously overloaded condition. Add weight for hitch, passengers and stuff in the truck and you are north of 4500 lbs pin weight and your payload may be well under 3000 lbs. Just wanted to point this out and wish you safe travels... this comes up constantly!
