No Thanks......I'll stick with the air horns.....I couldn't Mancini even at low volumes, much less being blasted!

Is the colorful fonts a railroad thing??

Just asking…hadn’t seen them used in a post before this…kinda official

I read the posts with the sound of a loudspeaker announcement at a train station

Couldn't Mancini??? Aw, c'mon! The theme from "Peter Gunn", TV show "Newhart", theme from "The good, the bad, and the ugly", the "baby elephant walk", and many others? Oh oh, I think I just dated myself!!!

Just got kind of tired of plain old black! Just me, I guess. And since you asked, a "blue flag or blue light" hung on ANY piece of train equipment means that it can NOT be started, moved, or otherwise touched without the consent of the person who posted/placed the blue flag/light! Railroad rule, grounds for immediate termination. Safety thing.

You're a lucky guy. I had to blow mine this AM, at noon and will again before going to bed (snooter).

Just as an aside regarding air horns; don't have them, wouldn't use them and the only time one was blown at me for no reason elicited a response folks (those folks) didn't want.

Well I used mine yesterday day, following a car going up the “Sylvan Hill” which is a very.curvy section of Hwy26 in west Portland. The lady in the car in front of me was only doing about 40 and weaving back and forth in her lane. Then I saw the reason she was holding her cell phone in her right hand!! I could not if she was talking on it or trying to read a text.
It amazes me that now days it seems even the most basic audio system in cars has Bluetooth capability to do hands free calling and voice to text!
Yes, she got a good blast!

I don't think I could Mancini anyone, it's too easy going. Maybe something like Bach's Toccata and Fuge in D minor. cranking that up might get some hip hopper's attention, and then give him a good blast on the air horns

By the way trains have whistles, only steers and bison have horns. I'm a rail too and had my share of dealing with missing whistles on locomotives and cab cars. The diesel shop began securing them with security bolts to deter theft.

Life has a way of throwing curveballs into our plans, but I hope you were able to snag that awesome train horn you shared. It's really something special!
