Mods to a pull out end (bed)?

Hello!

We have a 2011 that has one pull out at the end which is the queen bed. We are leaving our camper permanently where it is, and I'd love to not have to pull that slide in and out all the time. Anyone here do any mods to theirs and leave the pull out - or, take it out all together and build a more permanent structure? Am I out to lunch? Would love the extra space. We have no side pull outs.

Thx!

Welcome to the forum

Without a little more information it’s hard to say. Is the pull out manual that is on tracks and support poles are used? If so removing it would mean you have 4 edges to seal, and support framing to build.

You need to provide LOTS more info; model of trailer, type of slide etc. "Take out a slide and build a more permanent structure"??? Might really want to think about that. I think I've seen some efforts at doing things like that on RVs and mobile homes....quite the mess over time and looks just "terrible" along with the maintenance problems that come with it.

We have a 2007 Keystone Outback 21RS.

There is a rear slide queen bed. We have our trailer permanently positioned on our land. It's a hassle to pull the slide in and out (it's on tracks). Wondering a way to just leave it open but make it more sturdy?

Also wondering if anyone on here has done any mods for layouts of this style of camper. Just curious to see! Thx
