What a great post. Soon as I finish reading a page, another one pops up.
So, couple thoughts and predictions:
I expect Keystone will offer the first "Half-Watt" (or is it half-witt) fifth wheel.
There will be an unprecedented rebuilding of the infrastructure, financed by money borrowed from China, who has abundant cash because they have cornered the lithium market. Don't worry, we'll save on materials because we have all that unused steel from the border wall.
All the oil field workers will still have jobs building all the needed solar panels in the yet to be built plants, albeit at 1/3 their previous income.
We'll still be able to get HD diesel truck to pull our big a$$ 5th wheels. They will however have Russian names.
In the end, there will be negligible change in green house gasses because China and India will still not be included in the Paris accord.

Really? Looking forward to an electric tow vehicle that can replace my current one. Must have 32k towing capacity, be able to run seven hours (at 60MPH, over mountain grades, running AC) on each charge, and able to recharge almost anywhere in the 15 minutes that it takes to top off my diesel tank.

Precisely. However, not sure the oil field workers (I was one for 30+ years) will be available to build solar panels when the industry ramps up years from now. They will have been evicted from their homes (foreclosure) and starved. No problem, we can just buy them from China.

I'm pretty sure the consumer and rv industry is going to have to adapt to the auto makers offerings for towing.
Greedy corporations and consumers made the Chinese rich.
Yours truly,

But vehicles are no longer made out of steel, especially electric cars. The new ones will be made from HDPE, same as your milk bottles.
