Rocky Mountaineer

I watched a documentary on the Rocky Mountaineer and it looks like something I would like to do one day. Has anyone on the forum been on this train? I want to see Canada when things open up in the future and a short trip in between camping seems like a good option for covering a lot of ground.

We went from Vancouver to Banff, with an overnight stop. It was very scenic; they never stopped feeding you! We stayed in Vancouver a few days before and Banff a few days after; both were great for exploring.

We’ve looked into this in the past. If the scenery doesn’t take your breath away then the prices will. Even in CDN money, we’d rather catch the train north from Winnepeg to see the polar bears in Churchill. Looks like a great trip!

Yes, it was pricey. We got some discounts by ordering way in advance.
