Installing 3rd AC to prepped coach

I was not able to find much on any search over the past week. If this is redundant let me know and Ill delete.

I want to start a thread on the installation of the 3rd ac on my prepped 2021 Raptor 423 with the in command system. Part number searches were often sketchy and A phone call was almost always needed to verify I was getting the correct part. Some of the parts are on backorder, more on that when I get to those parts.

First off I have 2 of the coleman mach 10 13.5 btu units ( black cover) currently installed so to order the 3rd unit I searched and found the best price at Camping world. M#45203-6792 Mach 10 13.5 NDQ AC. Total with tax was $811.68. No issues with this order.

The next part is the inside cover, vents, filters and mounting hardware. Airxcel M#8430A6321. I found this part available from many sellers for $60-$80 bucks.

Now, these next 2 items are the hold ups. Looking at a 2 month wait is the best I found. The excuse, Covid, of course. The control pack is Airxcel M#9430-752, this mounts up behind the filters in the return air area. The larg white connector from the mach 10 plugs into this and the power from the coach is supplied and connected here. This part I ordered through TX RV parts in San Antonio, coleman will not sell you this or the next part. It was about $200

Next is the gateway Airxcel M# 9430-5501, about $160 on backorder. this appears to have the plug receiver for the white 2 wire plug prepped in the coach, Ill have pics once the install happens. The other wires needed will be connected from this gateway, the prepped coach will have the 110v power coming from the #3 ac breaker, the 2 brown wires that are the room temp sensor connectors and the yellow wire that houses the 2 small wires with the white plug at the end of it. I'm going to attach pics so that you will see what I am working with.

Good luck on your project and hope everything turns out perfect for you. I think the part you were describing above is called a Plenum.

You are going to LOVE having 3 AC units. I can't imagine our rig without all 3 in the Tucson desert. Here's a reference to a previous thread in this forum that discusses actual performance of 3 AC units:

Good luck with your project!

Hey there congrats on the new Raptor, I work in Boerne, and live in SA. Good luck on the A/C install, I'm sure that'll keep you cool around here.

hope so, I picked it up in Kentucky and hit the Smokey mountains, it was nice and cool. Then came down to Corpus and it was hard to keep the garage cool!

3rd ac complete. Omni chill system controlled by in command all 3 run at the same time. I have video on the install that I’m hoping to edit
Together to help anyone adding an ac system to the prepped keystone rv. Once I traced down part number and the parts the rest was so easy, anyone can do this install. Click image for larger version

Did you have to run any wires or were they really all there including the t-stat wire? Trying to gather all the parts for the 3 rd a/c as well on my fuzion 373. Thanks for any advice

All of the wires were there. If you end up needing some help I can send you my phone number and help you that way.

Hi, I just purchased my second "new to me" Fuzion 414. Both this and my last were/are 2016 however my previous one had three AC units (garage, living room, bedroom) and this unit only has two units, one in the garage and one in the bedroom. The thermostat I have on the kitchen wall is not the multi zone thermostat I had on my previous 414 with 3 units. Is there any way to determine if my rig is prewired to install a 3rd AC in the living room?

PS: I too am in Arizona, NW, near Hoover Dam.

Thanks
Jen

Look at all of the roof vents in the living room area. If there is a "blank plate" covering a utility outlet box adjacent to one of the 14" roof vents, remove that "blank plate". If you see ROMEX coiled in that utility outlet box, it is likely intended for an optional air conditioner. The other end of that ROMEX "should be coiled behind the power center" and there should be an "open spot for a circuit breaker" on one side of the main input circuit breakers. If "part of that is missing" you might be able to wire it. If all of that is missing, it will be much more difficult to install a third A/C.

K, thank you, I'll go see what I find, much appreciated.
