Started to poke around the bedroom slide. There is slight water damage around the wood header/trim that faces the slide inside.

I’m trying to wrap my brain around why you would create a pool where water could sit and potentially come in. The bottom wiper seal goes across then goes back 2” or so and loops around and was screwed to the side.

Here’s a pic

Obviously Monaco knew there was an issue, or someone did as the front slide has a fix. There isn’t room to fix the rear like this

Modifying the bed frame. Cutting it down about 5” and strengthening by eliminating 1 staple per joint and replacing with 2 pocket screws

Plank floor is almost done. Will add toilet, bath sink, and New shower pan back in tomorrow.

Just cut the rubber coin floor for the captain seat area. Hope to get it down tomorrow and have seats back in, and get the consoles and dash back together

Thanks, I was most curious about the slide seals, have you seen any like this?

I’m going to cut out the “cups” in each side of the bedroom slide. I have no room to drill/rivet a piece of aluminum angle. Going to try some 3M fast set adhesive to lay down a piece of angle for the new wiper seal to at least grip to until I can come up with a better solution

AP products has a website with a profile pic and measurements of pretty much any/every slide seal. Might want to take a look:

Sweet site.

I picked up some double bulb to try and modify the way this is laid.

They just went all the way around with 1 piece. Left gaps IMO

If you push the seal into the corners, you can cut the wiper at a 45 and then use weather stripping adhesive or super glue to “finish” the corner by gluing the two wipers

Perfect. I’ll mock it up and see what it looks like thanks!

Thanks! A few more days and we head home, so the remodel will slow down a bit as I have to get back to work.

Will become a weekend project, but at a least it will be useable, solid, and safe.

Was amazing. We took the demoed stuff to the dump, and shed 1300lbs out of it.

Finished off roof with new MaxAir cover over the new fan.

Coin Floor glued down. Console/dash back in, drivers seat. Cabinet doors back on as I post. Took out the seal in the rear slide. Had to just get some
New seal in as I’m not thrilled with the set up. Adjusted slide as they didn’t face screw one of the rollers. Closest doors back in. Bath cabinet/sink back in. New toilet tomorrow.

On the road home Wednesday

I hope in the hustle and bustle of getting this done that you are keeping a running total of the Benjamins you're parting with. That would be interesting also. Progress looks great!

LOL, not as bad as you think. We expect to put $6-8 into it. That includes new furniture, new televator cabinet with fireplace, and other improvements as we go along.

Labor is all free, buddy helped with the sub/plank floors (beer) and myself doing the rest.
