Left the pop up behind.

Hello we just went to the dark side, and bought a 2008 keystone freedom lite 279tb. Just got it home yesterday a have a lot to learn about this camper. I am an owner manual kind of person and love finding out as much as I can about the things I own. I am trying to find an owner manual for this camper but not having any luck. I have not called Keystone but I have been on their site looking but the closest one I can find is for 2010 but it is very generic and doesn't tell you about any of the features or give you part numbers for anything. Would anyone have a pdf that they can send me or point me to a website that I can get one on?

Thank you!

welcome to the forum! i think your going to find that all of the trailer owners manuals are a bit generic…i don’t believe they list any part numbers because the individual appliances all have their own manuals..you could start assembling a packet of printed out manuals or keep a digital copy to refer to.

it’s not like buying a car or almost anything else…these things are built with whatever is in arms reach at the time of production …the schematic and wiring/ plumbing and hvac routes are basically a mumbled instruction, shrugged shoulders and wave of the arm in the general direction of where they want things to go …..practically no two units are exactly alike…they are built with speed and production targets in mind

you find parts by going online and comparing pictures with members of the forum or your own research.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new trailer!!

No shame in going from a pop up to the dark side. Gave up my pop up tent trailer and tent also.........sad day but no regrets.

Any Keystone owner's manual will be very general. Suggest making a list of all your rv specifications, equipment with their manufacturer and model and serial number (if you have it) and download their manuals. That is what I do, in addition, to downloading information on "how to" operate and maintain all of your equipment and making checklists for departure, arrival, maintenance, etc. PM me and I can email you examples.

There will not be a specific manual, only the generic ones you have found. Think of the camper like a Walmart; it is a big box full of parts and appliances made by someone else. You would have better luck looking for individual manuals. Mine came with a stack of them; radio, thermostat, water heater, converter, tv, microwave, refrigerator, furnace, AC, stove/oven, awning, axles, tires, etc. What wasn’t provided, I found online and downloaded.

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask here. Even longtime RVers like myself learn something new every day
