Tongue jack

I have to replace my tongue jack, the original had one wire and the replacement has two. My question is, does it matter where I ground the new one? The frame, battery, or?

I suspect the old one grounded to the frame but you could ground to the negative battery terminal; a ground is a ground except the frame may need to have a bit of paint removed so you are hitting metal with the ground.

I've replaced my tongue jack three times, twice with the same model and once with something different. They all grounded to the frame and had only one wire to the positive battery terminal. If yours has two wires I would think that they go to the battery because when you bolt the jack to the frame your ground is established, so the additional wire may be just an additional path to ground. What does the manual show?

Ok I grounded it to the frame. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't mess anything else up. Thanks guys!
