2021 Passport Bathroom Door Fell Off

Hello,

I own a 2021 Passport 2210RBWE. We are on our last leg home on our first long trip with our Passport. We pulled into a hotel for the night and when I opened the door to the trailer to get our things for the hotel room, I was greeted by the bathroom door completely fallen off the wall and leaning against the kitchen counter area. It appears the top 2 screws for the door had been screwed into the space between the wall and the wood beam and the bottom 2 screws had missed completely and wasn’t screwed into anything. I am surprised this hadn’t happened earlier since the door really wasn’t attached to anything but grateful that it fell off on the last leg when we were no longer needing to live in it. We wrapped the door in the blankets from the bed and laid it on the floor to get it home but now the question is, how do we fix it? When it came down, the trim broke in 3 places but that is the only damage. Any suggestions on how to remount and repair the door on our 2 year old trailer?

You can try to reposition the screws to actually hit a stud. Glueing toothpicks into the stripped holes of the ones that were in studs to repair the hole. Another option is to use toggle bolts in the existing holes that don’t hit a stud. Only bad part of the toggle bolt is the wall material is thin and doesn’t support a lot of weight, but the doors are light so it’ll probably be ok.
