Is there an onboard water regulator

2022 HC Montana 295RL: first long trip and third RV park; seems city water pressure is getting reduced by coach. I haven't bought a pressure tester yet but thought somebody might have a definitive answer.

We use a PureTaste brand water filter (new installed before this trip) but so far haven't needed a reducer. Our last 2013 Mountaineer required pressure reducer at many RV parks.

Hope everyone is having a good summer so far.
Jack

No. You should install the regulator directly at the hose connection before attaching a hose or filter so those are also protected from too much pressure, and the regulator should be the adjustable type, not the restriction type.

Is the low pressure at every spigot or just one?
Being a new trailer you may have some debris left in some water lines after the trailer construction.
Take some or all of the filter tips off of the faucets and let some water flow and then replace them.
That should remove any debris.
And yes, get a quality pressure reducer. One less thing to worry about because campground water pressures are unreliable and usually to high.
Good luck

If pressure is reduced at one faucet the likely the screen and or flow restrictor is full of debris. Unscrew the aerator and clear out the obstruction. If the pressure/ flow is low everwhere and you confirm it's good at the hose when disconnected the it's likely one of two issues, the inlet screen or the
Check valve. Turn on the fresh water pump ( with water in the tank) and if the pressure is ok then the problem is outside at the hose connection.

Remove the supply hose, turn on the water and confirm a good supply of water. If it's ok move on to the water hose inlet connection.. Where it connects to the camper (female hose connector) the washer in there is typically a type that has a screen built in. That screen may be obstructed. Behind that washer is a check valve. It may be obstructed and only opening partially causing a restriction. You can take a Screwdriver and CAREFULLY push on the plunger to see if it opens.

All faucets and shower are low pressure. I'll try all above suggestions; all good BTW. Plus I'll get an adjustable pressure regulator as the others just regulate volume and not actually pressure= smaller orifice.
Thanks again

Just a note, a good adjustable regulator will not hinder low water pressure. As an example let's say you set the pressure to 50 psi. It will reduce the pressure above that down to the 50 psi set point. A lower pressure , if say the water supply is at 40 psi then it will not be effected, it will let it pass through unhindered.

Just a thought: Check the screen/washer on your city water inlet connection (where the hose connects to the trailer). Sometimes, like the faucet aerators, that screen will pick up sand/silt and block the flow of water into the trailer system.....

Another check that I always do when there's a complaint of low pressure is compare the onboard pump pressure to the city water pressure. Often times, that check will identify whether it's "everything in the trailer regardless of water source" vs a blocked/restricted city water inlet or an onboard pump problem.

Inlet screen is clean. Third full hookup has good water pressure so appears previous RV parks had low water pressure issues.

Not unusual for rv parks to have low pressures. But then there's the few that will have extremely high pressures which is why you need to use a regulator everywhere/every time you connect your hose, better safe than sorry.
FYI, while discussing safety! If you don't already have an EMS connected to your incoming shore power I'd highly recommend getting one ASAP & use it everywhere/every time you connect to power.

You got lucky because you didn't run into a problem, it wasn't that the surge protector worked.
