meguiara"s 50 Cleaner Wax
Has anyone uses the Meguiar's 50cleaner Wax.. It's suppose to be non-abrasive.

No such thing as a non abrasive cleaner wax. The whole purpose of a cleaner wax is to use abrasives to remove oxidation and wax at the same time. They’re not as abrasive/aggressive as a compound so they don’t require a follow up step of a polish. They’re considered a one step product. Most use DAT or Diminishing Abrasive Technology which is a fancy way of saying the abrasives diminish or break down into smaller particles as they are worked. For DAT products to properly break down, it normally requires a polisher, you’d wear your arm out trying to work it enough to break them down properly.

If you don't need to remove oxidation, then a liquid wax would be the way to go. I use Nu Finish liquid wax. On the side of our Cougar that was becoming oxidized I used MEGUIAR'S® 6732 Marine/RV One-Step Compound, which worked well to remove the oxidation and left a nice shine. The oxidation cleaner products are a bit harder to use i.e. more elbow grease that the liquid wax products.

If you don't want an abrasive, run down to your local WalMart and get a bottle of Meguiars Cleaner Wax liquid in the red bottle. Should be less than $10. Get a pack of microfiber applicators and some microfiber towels. Apply the cleaner wax and let it dry. Wipe off. If it's not good enough, do it again. If you want to take it a step forward, go back to WalMart and buy their cheap random orbit polisher. It's a one hand polisher like a palm sander. Get some microfiber pads for the polisher. Probably 3"-4" with elastic around the edge. If that don't work get a couple of wool pads.
If all that don't work get a Porter Cable random orbit buffer and your choice of compounding, and let the work begin.
All that said, what kind of issue are you wanting to correct? Oxidation, black streaks, etc?

Actually, harbor freight has a decent little polisher for about $80. I bought one in a pinch once when the bearing froze up on my Porter cable. I actually like it better than the PC. I only use it with small 3-3.5” pads for right places, but I think it would work well with 5.5” pads too. I wouldn’t go any bigger than that this types of polishers don’t normally work real well with big pads. I use 6” pads on my Flex polisher. It’s an amazing polisher, but most people wouldn’t want/need to spend $400 for a Flex.
If you get a polisher, just make sure it’s a random orbital. If you don’t have experience with a rotary, you can burn the finish. The oscillations of an RO doesn’t build enough heat
Harbor Freight has a pretty good supply of foam
Pads as well. I mainly use Lake Country, but have grabbed a couple HF ones, no complaints.

The harbor freight model is probably a good one but i like the shurhold …it’s about $144 on amazon but it has velcro attachment for pads and a long 20 ft cord and separate gfci…it really easy to use with one hand because it’s compact and balanced …the long cord makes it lighter then having an extension cord attached to it…your arms get tired after awhile and it’s good to be able to use one arm for buffing and one arm for steadying yourself..edit ..i’m usually standing on top of a 6ft ladder

I don’t remember how long the cord is, it’s not 20’, but not bad either. I’ve used one hand on it without any problems, but I seldom run any polisher with one had. I prefer to keep both hands and consistent pressure on the pads. It’s a good option for people who don’t want to spend too much. I was just surprised how much I liked it for a low price polisher. I bought it in a pinch, figuring I was going to hate it. Price wasn’t an issue for me, I probably have around $5k invested into detail products/supplies, timing was the issue
