WFCO Converter

Has anyone been successful replacing the WFCO converter with another brand. In other words without major reconstruction. I believe based on testing that my converter float mode is defective. Doing more investigating.

Very simple process provided that you're wise enough to ensure the RV's unplugged when you do it. If you're uncertain, take some photos before so you can refer to them after. Purchase a unit with the same amperage and you're golden.

As long as the converter is a stand alone and not the bottom half of the power distribution panel, replacement is easy and it’s a good time to get a new one with more amp rating.

Before going to a higher amp rating converter/charger, always make sure that the existing wiring is the proper size (gauge) for the amount of current it will be carrying. If it's not, plan on replacing that wire with a lower number gauge wire. Example....6ga. wire is smaller than 4ga. wire. The lower the ga. number the bigger the wire.
