Welcome from the Hill Country! Make a signature found in the UserCP top/left of every page and save it; include year, make and model of camper and same for your tow vehicle. Good place to jump right in!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig! Headed to Fredericksburg next month? We'll be there in June/July for a few weeks. Don't know how familiar you are with the town but stop by Dutchman's meat market and get some beef jerky if you like it, or I always get their fresh german sausage and bratwurst to smoke and cook. Probably a little early for peaches. Have fun in that new RV.

Thank you all for the kind words. My rig came standard with ST Rainier 235/80/16 Rated E tires. Can anyone tell me which are the creme of the creme best tires that will possibly prevent a blowout? Thanks

My trailer, which is a little heavier than yours, came with the same size Raniers but in LRF. I had them take them off and replace with Sailun S637s LRG before it left the lot. Raniers are not "top of the line" IMO or most as best I can tell. You can't beat the Sailuns but the LRGs I bought would be overkill for you (and a bit for me). You have a 13k gvw trailer. I like tires that support the entire weight of the trailer plus at least 10%, others go with a lighter weight but I would never go below tires that would support the entire weight of the trailer - JMO.

If you're a Waylon/Willie fan you've got to "go to Luckenbach Texas" just so you can say you've been there.
Also go to Marble Falls to the Bluebonnet Cafe for a piece on one of their many pies, food's pretty good also.

I agree that those places are "unique". Used to go to the Bluebonnet every morning for brkfst in the 70s when we lived there; quiet, non busy, great staff and great food. Went back over the years and it got more and more busy, the line outside longer and longer as well as the wait. Last trip we said enough is enough....but the cocoanut cream pie was still good.

Luckenbach is interesting just because "it is" and the quaint history behind it and Hondo Crouch. Waylon (we knew him) and Willie put the place on the map. Immediately following the hit song the place didn't do much but it began to change right away. Initially it still had the stream and swimming hole behind the post office with the tire swing - that was all there was. It kept growing bit by bit over the years; will never forget when we pulled in one year after being gone for several and the shock we had when we saw a dance hall, gift shop, huge parking lot and 2 big tour buses parked in it....yep, Luckenbach had hit the map. Was just there last August/Sept. If you go find a slow time to sidle up to the bar and order something (I only get water) and visit with the bar fellow. He can give you an interesting talk and I imagine he does it a few thousand times a year. Have fun.

Thank you for the information. I do want tires that support my trailer plus10% of additional added weight. Would my trailer not drive well if I added the Sailun S637s LRG? I like those because they are Rated G I believe and not rated E which isnt much.

The LRE tire range for your trailer is "just adequate" IMO. If you take your gvw plus 10% you come to 14,300 (memory). Divided by 4 tires that's 3575lbs. per tire. The Carlisle Radial Trail HD I'm looking at shows a load rating of 124 or 3527 per tire at 80psi so very close. The Carlisles are by nearly all accounts very good tires and I ran them before the Sailuns (different size).

Going up from the OE LRE tires also means you have to increase tire pressure which means your wheels have to be able to handle it. On the back of the wheel it should (hopefully) give you the weight or pressure max of the wheel. As the LRE is OE I'm not sure the wheel will be made to handle the 110psi of the LRG tire. LRF (which I couldn't find a good brand) would be 95psi.

As far as ride, you have the Road Armor suspension which is a much improved OE setup. I pulled the Road Armor suspension off this trailer and put a MorRyde on it, not so much because there is something wrong with it but more I like MorRyde better. It will smooth the ride greatly whatever tire you put on. Some will disagree but I've always upsized (load range) my tires the last several years and never had any issues with the trailer appearing to ride rougher. I have had a MorRyde suspension on all of them though.

Look at those wheels and see what they will take. You could put the LRG tires on there and just air to the indicated max of the wheel which would give you the support of whatever that pressure is. Sort of a waste buying a more robust tire and airing it down but the price increase IMO is negligible over the next lower load range if that's what you wanted to do.

Thank you for the advise. I did look on the back of the rim and it does indicate max PSI 110. I just want to make sure I am installing a high quality tire.

Here's a link to the Carlisle CSL 16 steel cased LRG trailer tire. I've not used them but if they are as reliable as their other ST trailer tires they should be a good option as well.

https://www.carlislebrandtires.com/o...-detail/csl16/

Since your wheels are rated 110psi the load range is up to you since they will handle LRG tires. The Sailuns mentioned previously have a proven track record and lots of happy users.

Ok, I was incorrect. The rim on the new trailer reads MAX PSI 80. That means I guess I can only install 80psi tires on those factory rims. Which tire would be the 100% best in rated E?
