Smile New member post!

Hi all, Mike and Terese here in Raleigh, N.C. First post, we've got a 2021 Keystone Sprinter 357LFT and we love it! Besides a few initial warranty issues which were compounded by the C/W dealership, we have really enjoyed this 5th wheel. Moved up from a 2019 Arctic Wolf 31' which we pulled to the Black Hills in September 2020 (snow & ice storm ... cool) and this year our big haul will be out to Grand Lake Colorado for July 4th, then around the east side of the Rockies for a second week, then back home. Tow vehicle is a 2018 Ford F250 std. bed, airbags on the rear and Helwig sway bar upgrades front and rear and a roof air spoiler (+ 1 MPG!). Great set-up, super stable and comfortable for the two Chihuahuas that run the show. Be safe out there, have a great year everyone.

Congrats on the new trailer, and welcome to the forum from a former Willow Spring, NC member! Used to drive through Garner just about every day.

Welcome!
Just to point out a few facts concerning the weights involved with your setup!
Your 5er has a GVWR of 14000lbs which equal 3200+lb pin weight + the weight of the hitch + everyone/everything in/on your truck that wasn't on it when it left the factory, that includes the airbags, spoiler, upgraded sway bars & the chihuahuas.
Subtract those weights from the payload on the yellow/white tag, states "occupants & cargo must not exceed XXXXlbs", on the driver's door jamb of your truck, which on a 3/4 ton is typically 2500 to possibly 3000lbs depending on option level of the truck.
Yes! Your truck can/will "tow" that rv ALL day long & never breathe hard, but with the rv you've chosen it's most likely beyond the weight limits posted on your truck to "carry" the load of that rv safely.
FYI! The max tow rating for any truck as well as the dry/shipping weight for any rv are absolutely useless numbers in the real rv world!
Do with this information as you see fit! Just wanting you to be aware for the safety of you, your family & others on the highway with you.

Welcome to the forum, I’m just down the road in Warsaw. Not trying to start anything on here but if rvs had to stop at weigh stations there would be no room for the commercial trucks. Drive what you like. We are going to Yellowstone in June unfortunately the price of diesel is out of sight. Have fun this summer, it’s going to be expensive this year
