Haier 4 Door Fridge

I have 2022 Cougar 364BHL with a 4 door Haier refrigerator. I was wondering if anybody has info on how to use the travel door lock that comes with the unit. I can't find any info on it and even the dealership didn't even now how to install the lock. Any help will be appreciated...thanks in advance.

If it’s just the threaded knob I was told if gets threaded in right in the middle of the four doors. If that makes sense?

I've tried that but all 4 doors pop open while doing so. There is a "T" shaped rubber thing that came with it also, but haven't been able to figure out that also. I'll attach a photo.

I can screw the knob in all the way and it will hold the freezer doors shut, but the fridge doors can still pop open an inch or so and let the cold out while traveling

I have that exact same piece and absolutely no idea what it’s for, or how it holds doors shut. I thought it was just the knob. Does it maybe sit on top of knob(wedge in, triangle on knob, and flat section between knob and doors) to hold fridge doors? I haven’t used my trailer yet but thought I might actually be able to help someone. Hopefully someone knowledgeable will chime in so I can learn also. My apologies!

This is with the knob screwed all the way in. Again catched bottom doors fine but misses the top doors.

Maybe if I place a fender washer at the end of the threaded rod where it goes into the knob, it will catch all 4 doors evenly.

Just went out to barn to investigate. No idea how that wedge is supposed to assist the knob. A rubber washer would probably do the trick.

I don't have a Haier fridge, it's Samsung, but would highly recommend a large rubber washer and give that a try. A fender washer won't do well with the fridge finish while traveling.

I had the same problem. Doors kept popping open. I used a thick piece of rubber (actually I cut a piece of an unused grout trowel) in a square large enough to catch all four doors. Drilled a hole in it and slide it over the threaded bolt. Now when I screw it in, the rubber holds all four doors shut.

Thanks for the help folks. I'm gonna install the rubber pad/washer to lock it all together.

The rubber T goes above the knob to hold the fridge doors closed. The longer part goes between the doors, vertically. The flat top closer to you. Let it rest against the the threaded knob, and tighten down knob.

Wow I'm going to have to check this out later this morning. I was using the rubber T at the very top of the refrigerator door hanging down between the doors. That would be much more clean than that piece of rubber I devised! Thanks.

Haier fridge opening while traveling

Mine still opens even when using that rubber piece. I've had to throw out more food. Very frustrating.

I used a plastic peanut butter jar lid, drilled hole in middle. I used a piece of all thread for more length and locked it down with an extra nut and just snug it to the doors and has worked on the last trip. Didn't have a clue about the rubber T but am going to try it.

I cut a thick piece of rigid rubber from a tile grout trowel and added washers and nuts to get the right length to snugly keep all four doors closed. Works like a charm.

That's pretty much what I did as well, but I used a thinner piece of rubber and slid it all the way to the knob.

Looking to Purchase

Does anyone know where I can buy a travel door lock? I have been looking online and cannot find one anywhere. I plan on trying to make one but would love to buy correct part.
