Winegard Air360 Info

If you have the newer Winegard Air360 Plus Omni directional antenna and wonder why your OTA TV station reception is lackluster these images may help you understand …

The capture surface coupled with the internal preamp is a novel design but it’s never gonna match the performance of the Winegard Sensar IV rotatable antenna..

There is so much more capture surface coupled with the ability to aim the antenna. Even though the Sensar IV is a simple dipole concept it has the amplified head as well and will always work better..

Add in the KeyTV module with the Air360 Plus and you have.. JUNK

Sort of like taking the rabbit ears up into the attic and taping them to the rafters... That will never equal the performance of a "mast mounted rooftop antenna".... A "dome covered mini antenna mounted behind the air conditioner" will never equal the performance of a larger, exposed antenna that "rises above all the obstacles on the roof"...

I actually like mine.. I've only had one campsite that I didn't get a OTA signal equal to the Sensor IV and that was a hit and miss with the Sensor IV anyway..

I do like the fact that I can't forget to raise or lower the Air 360

But I'm easy to please when it comes to TV... as long as I get the Grit... I'm good

Yea its a nice idea for some folks.. something less they have to fret about when moving the RV.. I rarely use our OTA.. use the DTV almost all the time.. Gotta upgrade that this spring from the old Kingquest portable to a tripod unit so we can get HD broadcast.. Our eyes have lived with SD long enough..
