Some states still use front tags? I thought they went out with hula hoops.

About e-bikes....
We have two, mine is a fat tire, scales in at 75 ponds, folding but still heavy....
My wife's bike about half of that.
When I put the two vibe kayaks up on the lumber rack, and the two bike under it, I am too tired to use any of it once I get there
But take note, e-bikes do not like to get WET.....wherever you carry them, protect them from water, or suffer the consequences of a quirky bike.

Hula hoops went out!! Well, I was wondering why no one else was showing off at the park on the weekends - thought they might have been embarrassed to try after seeing my expertise...
Quite a few states still have front tags, TX is among them. I've never figured quite why. Pondered it over and over and decided it's so the dealers can have an extra option to drill holes in the front bumper or for the car wash machines to tear off, not sure which yet.

Seems like about 30 or so still require front tags. Most are in the east, north and west. I guess so that when a driver backs over you walking in the parking lot you can get the tag number.

The rack we purchased was from Amazon HyperRax - HYPERAX Blast RV -E Bike Rack Carrier with Bumper Mount Adapter Exclusive for RV, Camper, Trailer with Bumper - Fits Up to 2X 45lbs MTB E MTB Road Gravel Bikes with Up to 5-inch Fat Tires
From the installation instructions it says to mount the receiver with the receiver part on the top of the bumper and the plate on the bottom with the 4 bolts holding them together. See attachment bumper1.
The problem is that our RV covers the bumper by an inch or two. See attachment bumper 2.
The only way I could install it was upside down but I'm concerned it no longer will handle the weight of the bikes.
After looking at other bumper hitches I've found some that you do mount upside down and some were the plates are vertical instead of horizontal - CURT Hitch
Has anyone ran into this and what was your solution? I'd rather not cut into the back side of the RV to create room to mount it right side up. Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated! Thanks!

As others have said, don't put them back there. We put your set up on the back of our trailer. One trip and we took it all off. The weight of them and the bounce back there actually put a slight twist in the bumper. I took my truck and had a receiver installed on the front of it. Our E-bikes are there every trip now and no longer bounce around like they did on the back of the trailer. As for the bikes, we love them and ride them every year on the beach, through sand and water, and they're still going strong. Enjoy!!

No issues at all with front mount.
No light, radiator, turn signal, or sight line issues.
Nothing to fabricate, 4 bolts into frame with fish wire and it was done in less than an hour.
If I had a shop and supplies I would have seriously thought about pin box receiver.
Ontario uses front plate tags. those aren't covered. I really don't care if the cop has to bend over to check it.
