TPMS temps

Finally got around to installing the Guta TPMS system that was last year's Christmas present (procrastination issues). The install manual made little sense to me and I spent an hour with Guta customer support and they walked me though things. First issue encountered is that when I got it installed and turned it on, NOTHING. Called Guta customer support again and found you had to drive some for PSI and temps to show. Guess I had heard this in the past but forgot. Driving to the campground, temps in F rose from right at 80 PSI to 86-87 PSI. Ambient outside temps were between 90-95F. Road surface pretty smooth. What is the normal rise in pressure that can be expected?

Those numbers look right to me. The important thing to look at for is a large differential. I can see a difference in the sunny dide to the shadded side but very small differece betwwen the front or rear tire on a given dide.

Are you describing pressure or temperature ??? If pressure is what you're posting, that's about the right pressure rise. On the other hand, if the "ambient temperature is 90-95 F, then the tire (if it's sitting on the ground) should be at least the same temperature as the air around it... When towing, I'd expect the "sunny side tires" to be around 10-15 degrees hotter than the "shady side tires". All the tires should be "warmer than the ambient temperature" while towing, not lower than the ambient temperature.

The ambient temp is the outside temp when we were driving. Sorry if that was confusing. All four tires had about the same PSI rise and I didn't pay a lot of attention to the temps to be honest. Will pay more attention on the ride home and may buy four more sensors and program for the truck. The sensors are expensive and I am cheap but thinking about it.

Follow up... one of the four sensors took about 30 mlles to show up. Pressures about the same as before but TEMPERATURES were in the low to mid 90F range. Ambient (OUTSIDE) air temp was still in the mid-80s on the way home. In case anyone is in the Kerrville TX area, here is where we stayed:

Weather was close to 100F at times and we had some scattered showers and some sun.

In about 80F morning ambient temps I jumped from 125psi to 145psi in mid afternoon 90+F ambient.
