As stated they are factory charged..usually weighed in precisely …and sealed/brazed shut with no service access valves.
If it needs Freon down the road then it has a leak that will only get worse not better if it isn’t repaired
Most leaks in residential systems start as pinholes that multiply and grow over time and is usually a fruitless repair unless a coil is replaced.
The unit can be cleaned and the condenser coil hosed off carefully..many YouTube videos for this
The condenser coil ( outside coil) on home and rv systems can get dirt and dust in it causing higher head pressures..results in higher inside and operating temps.
The ac unit will have trouble removing the heat
I’d also periodically check or clean the indoor evaporator coil to keep the unit from freezing up
Ac units actually just remove heat …they do not add cool although that’s what it feels like
Same with refrigerators..they remove heat from a box
