A different kind of thread

I really like my little get a way on wheels. I've had it 4 years now, picked it up in Oct 2016, not a complaint in the world about it, done all the maintenance that is required and it is still in top shape. Everything has always worked with out fail. Perfect for myself, DW and little dog..

I had 3 travel trailers, Dutchmen, Sprigdale, Outback. All 3 were great campers, "almost" completely problem free, low maintenance, easy upkeep. Then I purchased my Montana fifth wheel......Well, it's a great camper NOW!

I've had campers with few issues and some that had lots of issues. Thankfully I've never had to have a floor, roof or wall replaced. I loved them all and still do. I don't like failures of any kind but expect them as we all should and then deal with them.....then be happy they're fixed. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

DW and I were just talking a couple of days ago; had multiple vacation homes, tons of timeshare (no comments) and it seemed like fun. The costs, time and work to keep them all up was tremendous. The RV is always sitting there quietly, waiting to be "asked out" (well, unless there is a repair screaming at me). When she is asked she takes us to places we've never been, keeps us warm/cool and provides something a fixed house just can't do. We sold everything but our main house (precipitating the above conversation) and both agree we could not be happier with the RV and what if affords us. I hope everyone has as much fun and enjoys their camper as much as we do.

Our family just got our first travel trailer this fall and had 4 trips before winterizing. Been talking about it for a while and finally pulled the trigger with no regrets. Got a used one and it's been a great time figuring everything out and doing some minor upgrades and maintenance.

We have considered this "an investment in fun."

Love the look he has on his face.

I believe wiredgeorge is a human version of a Cheweenie...

Bill, he might bark a lot, but his legs are too long!

I've had dogs chew on my shoes, chew on the remote control, even one that chewed on the blanket on the bed, but I don't think I could tolerate a "Cheweenie". Just saying...

It's good to be a happy camper

I know the feeling of loving your rv. As I read this message, I am lounging in bed, playing on my phone on a last camping trip of the year. My dog is sleeping peacefully in the closet (his favorite spot). DH is snoring softly next to me. I frequently think to myself, I love this trailer, and life doesn't get much better than this.

It isn't my Montana though. My Monty is set up long term on a piece of property we own. I use my Cedar Creek 5th wheel for traveling.
