No power to Dometic fridge

We had our trailer plugged in to house power yesterday and the fridge worked as expected. We got to our campsite last night and the fridge worked on propane for a couple of hours and then we lost all power to the fridge. The inside light doesn't turn on and no lights in the control panel.

We hooked up the generator and the microwave worked, but still no power to the fridge.

We are back home (we live 15 mins from the campsite) to grab some replacement glass fuses and our manuals, but the fuses aren't blown. I don't have the exact model of the fridge as I didn't think to grab that before we left the site.

Is there a reset button for the fridge?

2nd problem, maybe related? Our propane system isn't working as it should. When we turn the tanks off, unhook them, rehook them back up and turn them on, we can get our hot water heater to ignite but not our inside or outside stove burners. If we turn on our furnace, then our burners will light. But only for 3 minutes before they flicker out.

We have just filled the tanks. The tanks are 3 years old.

We noticed the problem with the propane about an hour before we noticed the fridge problems.

Advice?? We are off to the store to buy ice for our cooler in case we can't get the fridge working.

Thanks!

Sounds like the propane regulator isn't allowing the proper flow for what is required. As for the fridge, can you get to the back through the vent/cover?

Yes. We have opened the vent on the outside of the trailer.

We have located the reset button and the fridge lights turned on when pushed!!

But, the fridge is really loud and it sounds like too much propane is going to it, which is causing the fridge to stop working after 3 minutes.

So I’m gathering that all of our problems are propane related.

We have it booked in at the shop for Thursday. Anything we can do to fix it now?

The valves on the propane tank and (I think) in the pigtail hoses have safety cut-offs in them. If they think there is a leak, they will cut off the flow of gas. I don't know how to reset them once they've tripped, but when you open the valves on the tanks, do it slowly so the cut-offs don't think there's a leak.

To reset the propane safety, turn off the propane at the tank. Loosen the connection to the propane tank to bleed pressure. This should reset the safety. Then reconnect and very slowly open the propane. If you hear any kind of metallic tap or click, reset it again. Good luck.
