Gfci won’t reset

We are camping without hookups / dry camping for our first time. We’ve only used the trailer 2 times before. Both hookup sites. Our outlets won’t work. Gfci in bathroom won’t reset. Fuses checked. What do we do? Borrow a generator from our neighbor to get power so the gfci will reset? We have a full battery and gas. Help. I have 4 kids with me and need to fix this ASAP

If your dry camping your GFCI won't be hot even if it would reset, it's120 volt so unless you have a generator, are on shore power or that particular plug is connected to an inverter you will not have any 120 volt items working in your rv, only 12 volt from your batteries or battery.

Question

Ok. So if we are dry camping - we won’t have use to the tv or outlets? We can only have that if we have hook ups or generator. What if we hooked it towing vehicle - Nissan Armada - will outlet work if it’s connected to our towing vehicle.

And if the GFI is tripped, it won’t reset unless you have 110VAC at the GFI outlet.

I think she is assuming the gfci is tripped because the outlets don't work.

Your probably right but in case she pressed the “test”’button on the outlet, it won’t reset without AC voltage present.

That bugger may have to go back to training class. I've worked with mine to the point that when I get re- out of my mouth they are resetting. They dont bother other campers either. When I walk them on a leash, we stop and i clean up the little batteries they drop, but they only do that in the GFCI park or long walks outside the park.

Ain't that the truth. Just got back from 4 nights with 2 of the grands at Branson. We did Silver Dollar City, White Water and Samson at Sight and Sound Theater. I need to go back to work so can get some rest.

Heat was brutal. Convinced me to check my AC system.

It's so funny. When I worked I ran full tilt from way early to way late 7 days a week. Loved it. When I retired I went into a depression period for 2 years missing the "full tilt" stuff. Now, I have no idea how I had time to work.

We used to hit Branson every year because we love the area, not so much the shows. Silver Dollar City was always a must for us and bought season tickets for several years. I always rented a boat every week to fish etc. When my grandson graduated high school we took him there and made all the rounds and took him parasailing on Tablerock….loved those pics, videos etc. we have. You pushed me....I'm going here in a few weeks - thanks.

You will have refrigerator, hot water, water pump, furnace if needed, radio, & lights all of which run off the 12 volt batteries, but anything that is 120 volts, basically if you have to plug it in, WILL NOT be powered while dry camping.
If your batteries begin to run low you can plug into your Nissan & start it up to help charge the batteries.

I thought you wrote this in a different language and the translation software hiccuped! Looks like some of my late night thoughts, the older I get the more my mind wonders.
