Hello from Southern Illinois

Hello, new to the forum and got a 2019 Montana high country last week. We were in coastal NC yesterday and this is our first trip. Already learned how to eternabond the hole where the tv antenna used to be and that I need to either move my hitch up a set of bolts or the pin box down a set to keep from making contact with my truck bed. Also learned that inverter-powered refrigerators are only nice when you have solar or can plug in, and when someone posts on a cabin rental that they have RV parking it probably doesn’t mean 41’ RV

Cheers!

Welcome! RVs are not like a regular house and have many, many quirks specific to them. You are finding some of them out the hard way. Find the right forum and ask questions - much easier, and cheaper, than tearing up the RV and truck....many of us learned that way and hope to spare others. Happy camping.
