Floor registers are getting hit-and-run being uo corners by both slides when retracted

Welcome to the forum

year, make and model along with type of slide would be great information to help make an educated response.

Ok. You can adjust the room so the leading edge stays higher for a longer period of time. You have to be sure the room still seals when fully extended/retracted.

Start with the room about 1/2 way out. Look for the long bolts that are vertical at the ends of the square tubes. Lowering the bolt will raise the leading edge. Make adjustments about 1 turn at a time, tighten all the nuts and fully extend the room, then retract.
