charging LiFEPO4...

Upgraded the Charger in the Trailer (from a Progressive Dynamics PD4590CSV to a PD4590LICSV), threw one of two LiFEPO4 batteries in the system (the second battery is awaiting some engineering with the battery box, in the meantime, the first battery still fits in the dual 6v box)

And after the generator was running for a bit, I noticed it cycling charging on and off. Does that look right to you? (The battery was delivered with almost an exact 50% charge.) It normally strobes while charging, I'm talking about the jumping from 600 watts to 0 and back up to 620 again.

FYI, this behavior is due to the short stop circuit breaker tripping...it's probably a 40 amp breaker and the converter is pushing (at least) 42 amps to the batteries. I'm looking for a Bussmann CB-185-110 or equivalent littlefuse manual resettable fuse to replace.

(Progressive Dynamics tech support was very helpful. They also warned about off-brand breakers being a Bad Idea)

Their recommendation was based on a fuse rated at 120% of my 90 amp converter's rating.

Thanks! I’m going to hit my local Napa, I need it before Amazon can get it to me.
